JORGE DAHER Jr., M.D.
Dr. Jorge Daher is an Endocrinologist, Professor of Medicine at Centro Universitario Anapolis, and a clinical researcher in Diabetes at the Hospital Geral de Goiania. He currently holds the position of General-Secretary of the Brazilian Spiritist Medical Association (AME-BRASIL), and President of the Goias Spiritist Medical Association, Brazil. Dr. Daher has lecturede extensively throughout Brazil and Europe.
ARNAUD DELORME, Ph.D.
Dr. Arnaud Delorme is a University Professor with several affiliations (Paul Sabatier University, Toulouse, France; University of California San Diego; Institute of Noetic Sciences). In 2001, Dr. Delorme developed the free EEGLAB software for advanced analysis of electro-encephalographic (EEG) signals, which is now amongst the most used in EEG research worldwide. He was awarded a Brettencourt-Schueller Young Investigator Award and a 10-year anniversary ANT Young Investigator Award for his contributions to the field of EEG research. Dr. Delorme has a keen interest in the scientific study of consciousness and spirituality. He is a long-term Zen meditator, and has taught in India on the neural correlates of conscious experience in a Master’s degree program. Since 2002, he has studied brain dynamical changes underlying extraordinary states of consciousness experienced during meditation and due to the effects of psycho-active agents. He is the co-director of the Meditation Research Institute in Rishikesh, India. Since 2010, he has been collaborating with Dean Radin on analysis of EEG signals recorded during presentiment tasks. In 2012, he conducted a landmark experiment on mediumship showing the neural correlate of accurate mediumship reading.

Kirsten DeMelo is a second generation Spiritist and active board member of The Spiritist Society of Baltimore. She coordinates meetings and lectures on various Spiritist subjects. She is an active collaborator with the Spiritist movement in the USA. Professionally she is a Registered Nurse.
CARLOS ROBERTO DE OLIVEIRA, M.D.
Dr. Carlos Roberto de Oliveira is a physician with specialization in Anesthesiology and post-graduation in Occupational Medicine and Acupuncture. He is an advisor to the Paraiba College of Physicians and a former Professor of Anesthesiology at Federal University of Campina Grande, Paraiba. Currently, he is the Director of the Health Institute Elpideo de Almeida, and works as anesthesiologist in the Emergency & Trauma Center of Campina Grande. He is also the Vice-President of the Anesthesiology Society of Paraiba. Dr. Oliveira is the founder and current President of the Campina Grande Spiritist Medical Association, and works as volunteer at the Uniao Fraternal Espirita. He has been a guest speaker at several events of the Brazilian and the International Spiritist Medical Associations.
SONIA Q. DOI, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Sonia Q. Doi is currently the President of the U.S. Spiritist Medical Association, Vice-President of the International Spiritist Medical Association and President of the Allan Kardec Spiritist Society of Maryland. She is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of the Nephrology Research Laboratory at the Uniformed Services University, Bethesda, Maryland.
Lakshmi Landa has taught HypnoBirthing, a method for peaceful, natural childbirth since 2003, as well as prenatal and postnatal yoga, and water yoga. With her husband, she manages the Shanti Yoga Ashram, Spiritual Food Community Supported Agriculture, and the School of Life with its many service programs, where people work, study and practice a spiritual lifestyle. In 2006, the Essene Church of Peace was founded to further the work of spiritual development of those committed to understand the transcendence to their next step of existence.
GIANCARLO LUCCHETTI, M.D.
Dr. Giancarlo Lucchetti is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Federal University of Juiz de Fora, Brazil. He is trained in Internal Medicine, and also completed a fellowship in Geriatrics. He received his PhD in Neurology/Neurosciences from the Federal University of São Paulo, Brazil. Dr. Lucchetti is a volunteer Research Collaborator of the Brazilian Medical Spiritist Association. He has published several articles on Spirituality and Health in indexed journals, such as Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine, Medical Education, Circulation, Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine and Psychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences. He has also served as reviewer for several international peer review scientific journals.
Nancy Marriott is the owner of New Paradigm Writing, Editing and Coaching Services, with 16 years of experience as a freelance book editor, ghost-writer, and co-author for books that make a positive impact for people and our planet. She started out as an editorial assistant with Viking Press and later became a medical editor for the University of California at San Francisco. Along the way she picked up skills as a grant writer, advertising copy writer, and curriculum developer, working on projects to increase education and awareness. Her coach/seminar leader training comes from Landmark Education where she led seminars on personal growth and productivity to over 500 people. Her background includes a BA in English from the University of Massachusetts and an MA in English and Theater Arts from Columbia University, as well as a study at Oxford University and a certificate to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) from the University of California. In addition to running her business, Nancy is an Adjunct Instructor in ESL at Santa Barbara City College.

WILLOW MOORE, N.D.
Dr. Willow Moore is a Naturopathic and Chiropractic physician in private practice in Vancouver, Washington. She is on the Board of Directors of the National College of Natural Medicine. Dr. Moore delivered over 500 babies at home and presently volunteers as a CASA (court appointed special advocate) for children in the foster-care system. She is a board member of Phoenix Rising Transitions, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping ex-convicts transition from prison to members of the community. Dr. Moore teaches non-violent communication classes for Phoenix both in and out of the prison. She is an Eponaquest instructor (equine facilitated learning) and holds workshops where horses help humans become more sensitive to their body’s energy field, recognize the information there and utilize it to further communication with themselves and others. Dr. Moore received her BS in chemistry from the University of Washington, graduated cum laude from Western States Chiropractic College in 1982 and from the National College of National Medicine in 1983. Dr. Moore completed the obstetric residency program at both WSCC and NCNM. She finished the postdoctoral homeopathic program at the International Foundation of Homeopathy and preceptored with Dr. S. K. Nayak, Principal, Homeopathic Medical College Hospital, Calcutta University, Kolkata, India. She was a founding board member for the Better Childbirth Council of America and served on the board for Therapeutic Alternatives of Maryland. Dr. Moore also founded and served as the president for the Maryland Naturopathic Association.
MARLENE NOBRE, M.D.
Dr. Marlene Nobre is a Gynecologist with specialization in cancer prevention. She is the president of both the International and the Brazilian Spiritist Medical Associations, and has fostered the foundation of several Spiritist medical associations around the world, including in Colombia, Portugal, Panama, Argentina, Guatemala, Switzerland, and the USA. She has authored a number of books in the field of Spirituality & Medicine. Dr. Nobre is also a volunteer director of a day-care facility in Diadema, Brazil.
MICHAEL R. RUFF, Ph.D.
Dr. Michael Ruff obtained a BS in Biophysics from The Johns Hopkins University and his Ph.D. from the Department of Immunology and Microbiology, University of Florida Medical School. That was followed by Postdoctoral research in virology as a Senior Fellow of the Swiss National Academy at the Institute for Immunology and University of Zurich, and at the Laboratory of Molecular Biology, National Cancer Institute, NIH. Starting in the early 1980’s Drs. Candace Pert & Michael Ruff began their decades long collaboration to identify the unifying pathways that might unite neuroscience with immunology to create a biochemistry of mind-body Medicine. Dr. Ruff together with partner Candace Pert founded RAPID Pharmaceuticals, a privately held biopharmaceutical company of which he is Chief Scientific Officer, creating novel, targeted peptide therapeutics for a variety of infectious, neurodegenerative, and inflammatory diseases. Dr. Ruff has over 75 peer reviewed journal articles in the fields of immunology, virology, and peptide receptor pharmacology. He previously held positions as Associate Research Professor in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics at Georgetown University Medical School and Research Director and Co-Founder of Advanced Immunity & Biotechnology Sciences, Inc.
GARY SCHWARTZ, Ph.D.
Dr. Gary Schwartz is a Professor of Psychology, Medicine, Neurology, Psychiatry, and Surgery at the University of Arizona and Director of its Laboratory for Advances in Consciousness and Health. He is also Director of Development of Energy Healing at Canyon Ranch, and Chairman of Eternea (www.eternea.org). Gary received his PhD from Harvard in 1971, was an Assistant Professor at Harvard, and was a Professor of Psychology and Psychiatry at Yale University and director of the Yale Psychophysiology Center before moving to the University of Arizona in1988. He has published more than 450 scientific papers, including six papers in the journal SCIENCE, co-edited 11 academic books, and is the author of The Energy Healing Experiments (2007), The G.O.D. Experiments (2006), The Afterlife Experiments (2002), The Truth about Medium (2005), and The Living Energy Universe (1999). His research integrates mind-body medicine, energy medicine, and spiritual medicine. His new book The Sacred Promise: How Science is Discovering Spirit’s Collaboration with Us in Our Daily Lives was published in 2011.
